Fund Raising Obedience & Agility Competition
Sunday 1st April 2012
What a brilliant day! The weather was great and all 20 competitors really entered into the spirit of the day. Congratulations to everyone who took part, whether you won something or not, you all did a fantastic job and should be very proud of your dogs....I am :)
Massive thanks to everyone who contributed prizes to the raffle and also to Andy Morton (for tallying up the scores and loan of the PA system), Simon Mickleburgh (for the loan of the generator that powered the tea & coffee..most important!) Keith Johnson from FeldSpar Photography for being the official photographer for the day - can't wait to see the results of your work), Suzanna & Sandra for running the refreshments, baking of cakes and running the raffle) Craig Whorlow (for doing the judging) and to Denise & Craig Steer (for their running around and behind the scenes help).
Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who came along to support the competitors and for your very kind generosity as together, you raised a few pennies short of £250 for the Oldies Rescue Charity which is fantastic. Thank you all :)
Keep an eye on the photo album, it will be updated with what I know will be some great shots of the dogs and owners in action. The scoring was very very close throughout and in the heelwork competition which was out of a possible 150 marks for example, 29 points seperated 2nd place from 13th place.
